Graduates
Our experience is one of our greatest assets. But so too is our love of innovation and fresh talent.
Graduates contribute significantly to our business, handling projects and making decisions that help us to meet the demands of our clients.
We welcome engineering graduates with the skills and the ambition to become our leaders of the future; people who share our view of continuous improvement and excellence in our work. So if you want early responsibility, accredited engineering training and chance to play a role in some of the world's biggest and most complex projects, there's no better place for you to join.
What do we look for?
Foster Wheeler graduates must be able to achieve the right balance between showing initiative and adopting a real team work ethic. Flair and self-reliance are vital as we'll be looking to you to provide a genuine level of support to our clients at an early stage in your career. And in a multi-disciplinary environment that also requires you to support, and be supported by, colleagues too.
You will need a minimum 2:1 degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or in Quantity Surveying or a Procurement-related degree. Masters degrees are preferred for most of our graduate vacancies: Please see each vacancy for the entry requirements.
What do we offer in return?
You want to find somewhere you can experience freedom and opportunity to build the career you want, so we've designed a programme that provides you with the choices and support you need to develop your technical expertise and leadership potential to the full. You'll work closely with our clients, in a stimulating and quality-driven environment.
Throughout The Graduate Programme, you'll receive institution-accredited training with six-monthly salary reviews and quarterly development reviews in the first two years. The following two years of career development will ensure you finish The Graduate Programme ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that Foster Wheeler will continue to offer you.
With your own mentor, graduate co-ordinator and a development adviser, you'll feel thoroughly supported in your personal and professional choices. As you rotate through different projects and disciplines, we'll make sure you're always in the role that helps you get to where you want to be.
