Two of Foster Wheeler's greatest strengths are in-depth and wide-ranging experience and successful relationships with many of global industries' leading names. Clients who work with us tend to want to work with us again.
Having worked with Shell in China, delivering an ethylene oxide/mono-ethylene glycol (EO/MEG) plant, which was part of the US$4.3 billion CSPC Nanhai petrochemicals complex in China - we project managed the definition and implementation phase for the whole complex - we were delighted to be selected by them once more - this time applying our expertise in Singapore.
We completed the basic design engineering packages: one for a world-scale EO/MEG plant, to be built at Shell's petrochemical complex on Jurong Island, and the other for the significant modifications required at their adjacent Pulau Bukom Refinery and then won the next phase, to design and build the new MEG plant and the extensive refinery modifications.
We're now close to completing the EPC phase of this exciting development. Due for completion in 2009, the project is another welcome addition to an already impressive portfolio of work. Umberto della Sala, Chief Executive, Foster Wheeler Global E&C Group, explains:
"As one of the leading engineering, procurement and construction contractors in Singapore, Foster Wheeler has a 30-year track record of delivering safe and successful projects."
"We are proud to assist Shell in realising their investment objectives and are committed to delivering this new EO/MEG plant and the refinery modifications safely and successfully."
